September 19Th 2009, marks my Grandparent's 50Th Wedding Anniversary. It was a very heart felt day for my family. We all got together at Horseman's Lodge for dinner and a mini "Party." What a wonderful night. My Grandparent's are such a motivation to me and my marriage. My new goal..... 50 years with Blake. Done.

My bother in law Pat is the baker at the cheese cake shop "CAKED" in town. So he made a replica of their wedding cake. believe it or not the piece sitting on the top is a slice of my Grandparent's actual wedding cake 50 years ago! 50 YEAR OLD CAKE!!! That is just crazy right? Every one had to taste it and besides the extra hint of frozen meat it tasted AMAZING!!! It has been chillin in the freezer next to elk, deer, beef, fish you name it. that cake has met any and everything that was ever placed in the freezer. It was actually really cool to touch and see. It deserves to be in a museum.....
My Granddad asked the oldest grand child (my sister Jess) to read a poem about the true meaning of marriage. It was beautiful.....

The baby was getting fussy so i tossed her a packet of butter to play with.... Well she opened it and gobbled it down.... SICK!!! (kind of makes me want to vomit) But as a mother sometimes you do what ever it takes to keep them quiet. Even if that means getting grease stains on their new dress.....

Tay REFUSES!!! to wear her bows i slave away making, so I wear them in hopes that one day she will want to be like her Mommy..(nothing wrong with wishful thinking).....
Congratulations Grandma and Granddad!!! We all love you so much and thank you for your constant love and support. Here is to another 50 YEARS!!!!!..... ok 25!

That is CRAZY!! I love it. I have to say though, that's pretty brave eating 50 year old cake.
How sweet! That's awesome...50 years! Thats funny that Tay won't wear her bows. Sofia does the same thing, so I too wear her bows hoping that she will want to be like me. I am glad that I am not the only one!
Ok, I love there cake! We tried to save a piece of our cake too, but the first year of marriage I got pregnant and so hungry and ate it!!!!!!!!! I'm not kidding!
WOW! 50 years..looks fun. I have never heard of anyone saving their wedding cake for 50 years. That coulda made Inside Edition! oh and your hair bow rocks!
