TALIA: 11 MONTHS

Sick Baby!

YESTERDAY OUR LITTLE BABY CAME DOWN WITH A COLD. WE ARE ACTUALLY VERY BLESSED THAT THIS IS THE FIRST TIME TALIA HAS COME DOWN WITH ANYTHING. I WAS HOPING SHE WOULD TURN A YEAR FIRST BUT OH WELL.... SHE WAS MISERABLE WITH A HIGH TEMP AND A RUNNY/STUFFY NOSE. PORE BABY!

THIS WHOLE SWINE FLEW EPIDEMIC HAS ME SO FREAKED OUT! I PRAY EVERY NIGHT THAT OUR LITTLE FAMILY WILL STEAR CLEAR FROM IT. MY FRIEND WORKS AT ST. JOSEPHS HOSPITAL IN PHOENIX AND THEY ARE EXPECTING 400 PEOPLE A DAY WITH IT... A DAY!!!(KILL ME) ... SO MY GOAL THE NEXT FEW MONTHS IS TO BE A LITTLE MORE AWARE OF THE SCARY FLEW GOING AROUND BY WASHING MY HANDS MORE AND NOT LETTING THE LITTLE ONE ROAM AS FREELY.

WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU NEED TO KEEP A SICK BABY HYDRATED AND SHE IS NOT INTERESTED IN LIQUIDS???..... ADD A LITTLE CHOCOLATE

My great friend Tarah drove up from Phoenix to have a sleep over with Tay and I while Blake was out (STILL) hunting. We had SOOOO MUCH FUN!!! My other great friend Diana came over to add to the fun as well. These two girls are my oldest BEST friends. I have known Diana since kindergarten, and Tarah since 7TH grade. When we get together we create total chaos! I have not laughed like this in a very long time.........

50 years!

September 19Th 2009, marks my Grandparent's 50Th Wedding Anniversary. It was a very heart felt day for my family. We all got together at Horseman's Lodge for dinner and a mini "Party." What a wonderful night. My Grandparent's are such a motivation to me and my marriage. My new goal..... 50 years with Blake. Done.

My bother in law Pat is the baker at the cheese cake shop "CAKED" in town. So he made a replica of their wedding cake. believe it or not the piece sitting on the top is a slice of my Grandparent's actual wedding cake 50 years ago! 50 YEAR OLD CAKE!!! That is just crazy right? Every one had to taste it and besides the extra hint of frozen meat it tasted AMAZING!!! It has been chillin in the freezer next to elk, deer, beef, fish you name it. that cake has met any and everything that was ever placed in the freezer. It was actually really cool to touch and see. It deserves to be in a museum.....

My Granddad asked the oldest grand child (my sister Jess) to read a poem about the true meaning of marriage. It was beautiful.....

(kind of makes me want to vomit) But as a mother sometimes you do what ever it takes to keep them quiet. Even if that means getting grease stains on their new dress.....

A BEAUTIFUL DAY

I HAVE BEN TRYING TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE WEATHER LATELY. YOU KNOW HOW FLAGSTAFF IS, SUMMER ONE DAY FALL THE NEXT. I AM NOT READY FOR THE COLD. I AM HEAD OVER HEALS IN LOVE WITH SUMMER TIME. AND AGAIN I WILL BE HEART BROKEN ONCE SEPTEMBER ENDS. WAHHHH!!!..BUT SINCE TALIA IS ALMOST WALKING ( SHE TOOK HER FIRST TWO STEPS THE OTHER DAY) MAYBE I WILL BE MORE EXCITED ABOUT THE SNOW. IF SHE LIKES IT I LOVE IT........ WE TOOK A STROLL TO BUSH MASTERS TODAY. ME TAY AND BRU. I HAD A PHOTO SHOOT WITH TALIA PLAYING AT THE PARK. ENJOY.........

BELIEVE IT OR NOT, THIS IS TAY HAVING A BLAST. SHE YELLS AND MAKES CRAZY INTENSE FACES AND EVERYONE ASKS "IS SHE SAD?" UMMMM NO, NO, SHE JUST IS A LITTLE DIFFERENT.... BUT TRUST ME SHE FITS RIGHT INTO THE FAMILY.

SEPTEMBER=HUNTING

THIS PAST WEEK BLAKE WENT TO ALASKA! IT WAS HIS GRADUATION PRESENT FROM HIS PARENTS. HIM AND A BUNCH OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS (BOYS ONLY) SPENT THE WEEK HUNTING AND FISHING. HE SAID HE HAD SO MUCH FUN. BUT SINCE SEPTEMBER =HUNTING HE ONLY CAME BACK FOR ONE DAY AND THEN HEADED OUT TO UNIT 10 TO GUIDE A HUNT FOR ANOTHER 10 DAYS. TAY AND I MISS HIM BUT WE WILL JUST STAY BUSY AND HAVE A "GIRLS" MONTH. WHEN BLAKE COMES BACK THE SECOND TIME AROUND I WILL GET HIS PICS AND SHOW EVERYONE HOW SPECTACULAR ALASKA IS, BUT FOR NOW....

BLAKE GOT HOME AROUND 2A.M. SO I MADE HIM A SIGN TO GREET HIM IN THE LIVING ROOM. (YOU CANT SEE IT CAN YOU?) IT SAYS "WELCOME HOME!"

DAD GOT TAY A SHIRT AND ME A BEANIE. THANKS BABE YOU ARE THE BEST!

OUT OF AFRICA

FOR LABOR DAY MY MOM, SISTER, AND I TOOK A TRIP TO CAMP VERDE TO VISIT (FOR THE FIRST TIME) OUT OF AFRICA. IT WAS MADNESS!!! I HAVE NEVER BEEN THAT CLOSE TO "ZOO" ANIMALS BEFORE. THEY TAKE YOU ON A "AFRICAN SAFARI" THROUGH THE PARK WHERE THE ANIMALS ROAM FREE. THEY WERE SO CRAZY CLOSE IT WAS A LITTLE TERRIFYING. ESPECIALLY THE LIONS!!!. JK, ONLY "HERBIVORES" WERE NOT LOCKED UP. IT WAS A GOOD TIME.

GROWING UP ZEBRAS WERE ONE OF MY FAVORITE ANIMALS. THEY ARE SO BEAUTIFUL. HERE ARE TWO BABIES. AREN'T THEY JUST PRECIOUS! TEAR.... I WAS SO STOKED TO SEE THEM I AM ORDERING SOME ZEBRA PRINT SHOES TO "REPRESENT" THE LOVE.

THIS IS HOW CLOSE THEY WERE. YOU COULD PET THEM IF YOU DIDN'T MIND GETTIN BIT. SOME IDIOTS ON THE BUS DIDN'T MIND.

YOU COULD FEED THE GIRAFFE'S WITH YOUR MOUTH BUT I CHICKENED OUT AND AT THE LAST MINUTE AND SCREAMED BLOODY MURDER AND PRACTICALLY THROUGH IT IN HIS MOUTH INSTEAD.

BY ABOUT 1:00 IT GOT BLAZING HOT. I WANTED TO DIVE IN THE POOL WITH THE TIGERS. WE ALL GOT HEAT STROKE AND HEADED HOME. TAY AND I PASSED OUT THE SECOND WE SAT DOWN IN THE CAR.
